Zion Lutheran School 620 9th Street West; Mobridge, SD 57601; Ph. 605-845-2702 Purpose God has placed the responsibility for Christian training on parents and on the Church. The value of early training is indicated in the words of Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6. A Christian home gives the child his first Christian instruction and training. The Church shares the responsibility of providing through Christian education and training for children. The Church strengthens and supports the home in its efforts. Zion Lutheran Church has established and maintains its elementary school for the sole purpose of providing an educational structure where Jesus Christ rules supreme through His Word. Zion Lutheran School does not compete with the nation's public school system. We give thanks that our government sees the value of a thorough elementary education for all of its citizens but we are eager to provide what the state school cannot teach: Jesus Christ as God and Savior.
